Project description

First we test in small reactors different Pavlova strains with respect to their growth i.e. at different temperature-, light- and nutrient conditions . The algae are examined in terms of their growth, their pigment composition and the content of fatty acids, especially DHA and EPA.

Suitable species are then used in larger reactors and optimized with respect to the cultivation of the mentioned parameters. Production in pilot plants, harvesting and feeding of microalgae will be done by the project partners.

The project is promoted by DBU under number 28183-34 for three years.
