Conferences on bird migration at sea and offshore wind power

From 4-5 February 2019, two conferences on bird migration at sea and offshore wind power will take place in the state representative office of Schleswig-Holstein in Berlin (In den Ministergärten 8, 10117 Berlin). The first conference is conceived as a final conference for the BIRDMOVE project, funded by the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation with funding from the Federal Environmental Ministry. The title of the conference is: “Tracking bird migration over the seas: Fundamental patterns and their applications for offshore wind farms”. Directly afterwards a second conference with the headline "Bird migration and offshore wind farm: Do multi-sensor systems help to answer important knowledge gaps?" serves as a final conference for the MultiBird project initiated by the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency. There will be a number of presentations from the projects as well as from international experts.

The programmes of both conferences have been finalised and can be downloaded here.

Participation in both meetings is free of charge.
